Blocklists

EZOBLOCKER blocks domains from well-known open blocklists, grouped into nine categories. The lists refresh every 6 hours on our servers. Your phone does not download them; it asks our servers about each lookup.

How the lists are built

  • Each category combines one or more public lists. We pick lists that are actively maintained and whose license allows our use.
  • For broader lists, domains that rank among the most visited sites on the web are removed, so that common sites are not blocked by mistake.
  • A domain can be in more than one category. It is blocked if any category you switched on contains it.
  • With My list in the app you can allow a domain that a list blocks, or block one that no list covers.
